Netbook fever (mini-notebook or subnotebook) entered the second round in Indonesia. It is triggered by the HP 2133 Mini Note PC, which officially sold to the general consumers around June 2008. This first Hawlett Packard (HP) netbook attract thousands of buyers since the sale is limited to HSBC credit card customers on mid of May 2008.

As a second generation netbook, it has many advantages such as the beautiful designs, good features and full- notebook specification. Its chasing is made of aluminum anode that makes this netbook looks solid, shinny, and lighter. Not only that, it is also supported by HP brand image as a manufacturer of high class PC.

In fact, there are various skins from Garskin. Skin is illustrated fairy tale, flowers, and abstract paintings that make this HP 2133 looks trendier. The 8.9 inch screen display and 1280 x 768 pixels resolution provide wider display than the first generation that has only 7 inch display and 800 x 480 pixels resolution. more…

Lenovo’s manufacturing companies, chip maker Intel, and security software publisher, Absolute Software has announced a joint program to facilitate Lenovo laptop with anti-theft technology. Hardware Intel Anti-Theft Protection PC from Intel is entering into the components of vPro Technology in the Centrino platform 2, which will then be adjusted in the T400 laptop Lenovo 14.1 inch by Intel IT staff, software and security services through Absolute Computrace. Although this security capability built in the T400 laptop, but the problem for the Computrace service customer activation will become optional.

According to Bob Galush, Vice President of Lenovo marketing software and peripherals, the hardware or software will be protected by additional layers of security for the notebook PC business by Lenovo IT department. Few months ago Fujitsu Siemens stated that they will release zero watt monitor first in the world. Now the product is already present. There are also two LCD series offered: P20W-5 and Eco P22W Eco-5, each the size of 20 “and 22″. Both promote the native resolution of 1680×1050, 5ms response time, and have HDMI connectivity. Appropriate appointment, the monitor is not consuming power when in standby conditions.

Secret behind zero watt is actually simple, namely, a switch that automatically turn off the monitor when the PC is also connected with it off. Nokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their Website in the Research & Development section. Great thing about this phone is its appearance. All we know about it for now is that its a touch screen phone, and it looks fantastic in design.

6. Retroxis by Dark Label
If most phones here presented will never be sold in stores for sure, the concept Retroxis phone from Dark Label looks promising, and makes us hope we’ll be able to get this one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive.

7. BenQ-Siemens “The Blackbox”
Black Box Designed by BenQ-Siemens uses a touch screen as its keypad and instructor of menu change the control layout immediately depend on the function you are using.

1. Nokia Communicator 888
Nokia definitely has the most interesting concept phones. Nokia 888 Communicator is a striking futuristic concept phone. The phone, which uses liquid batteries, speech recognition, flexible touch screen and touch-sensitive body cover, is Designed by Tamer Nakisci and won the Nokia Design Award.

2. BenQ-Siemes “Snaked”
BenQ Designers thought of women, and presented Snaked. This is a “reptile” looking phone, creepy somehow, but is still very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sporty women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the Ladies keep those fine shapes.

3. Sky “Sleek n Slim”
“Sleek & Slim” from SKY is another concept based on touch screen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touch pad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design.

TFT LCD
This technology use thin-film transistor on the Liquid Crystal Display. Use of this screen also includes part of active matrix LCD. Beside on notebook screen, this also can be found on the projector, LCD monitors even start in 2004, also replace the CRT television.

WXGA
Standard view display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. In contrast with XGA (Extended Graphics Array), these have a resolution of 1024×768 pixels, or in other words have ASPECT ratio of 4:3. Wide XGA display will show the ratio of 16:9 (wide screen). Its usage is more suitable for presentations or watches the wide screen movie format. PC Card
